DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of the faculty PI, the research associate will work on assigned research projects. Responsibilities include: collate research files on research subjects, strictly adhering to HIPAA compliance regulations; ensure studies are IRB compliant, updated regularly and readied for audit. Recruit subjects into ongoing human research studies. Curate data sets acquired from patients for analysis.

The research associate will participate in making important contributions to the research studies and adhere to the goals of the assigned research programs. Provide research updates and reports to the Principal Investigator and team. Job responsibilities will be assigned and modified according to research needs, but will remain within scope of description.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, cognitive science, chemistry, bioengineering, or a related field; or, an equivalent combination of knowledge and experience. Theoretical knowledge in biology, cognitive science, bioengineering, or relevant academic background.

  • Advanced computer application skills: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. to produce high-impact visual depictions of research findings and conclusions for a diverse range of audiences and project stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated excellent research skills in order to decipher substantive and relevant content for research use. Working knowledge of research study policies and procedures.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify problems and develop innovative solutions and to compile, synthesize, and interpret data and results.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including tact and diplomacy and the ability to work with a diverse group of people.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively. Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize assignments, maintain workflow, and work productively in meeting critical deadlines.
    Familiarity with human subject research. Demonstrated ability to follow research protocols.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $53,766 - $64,143 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $25.75 - $30.72

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
