The Billing and Inventory Analyst is responsible for all billing and inventory reconciliations pertaining to the bailment states, partnering with relevant team members to identify and resolve any billing or stock issues. This role also supports the Inventory Accounting Manager in the preparation and analysis of ad hoc and monthly closing and audit schedules, and maintains systems expertise, internal control compliance, and ongoing process documentation.


Profile

Billing

  • Responsible for Bailment billing, including all uploads and conversions necessary for timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Review related product transactions, coding and pricing to identify any issues impacting billing; partner with Operations to resolve as needed.
  • Assist the Inventory Accounting Manager in the preparation and delivery of relevant monthly, quarterly and hard close schedules and analyses, including the monthly sales accrual.
  • Assist with any ad hoc invoicing and analyses as needed.

Inventory

  • Responsible for the preparation and delivery of the monthly inventory reconciliations for control states, partnering with relevant collaborators to identify and resolve issues.
  • Assist the Inventory Accounting Manager in the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly and hard close schedules and analyses related to inventory
  • Review inventory issues to propose adjustments or corrections to entries to Inventory Control Manager for approval.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts.

Innovation/Projects

  • Assist the Inventory Accounting Manager in the implementation and training relevant of system updates and changes, including providing management briefings to highlight the changes and their resulting impact. Continually review existing processes and procedures and apply business insight to suggest and implement efficiency improvements
  • Support the Inventory Accounting Manager in the planning and execution of new product, process and/or system launches.
  • Maintain a flexible and adaptable mentality by continually evaluating, revising, and responding with agility to meet constantly evolving business needs, and perform other functions or duties as assigned.

Audit / Internal Control

  • Prepare and present any necessary schedules to satisfy Financial and Internal Control audit requirements, as requested; by the Inventory Accounting Manager
  • Maintain an understanding of all internal control policies and ensure compliance of relevant accounting processes, informing the Controller of any deviation.
  • Ensure that all processes are documented and continually updated.

Education

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related field.

Professional Experience

  • 2-3 years of relevant professional experience
  • Wines and Spirits industry experience a plus

Practical/Knowledge

  • Strong systems knowledge, including SAP and Excel
