If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our team at APL!

The Business Analysis and Operations Support Group (JBO) of the National Security Analysis Department is currently seeking a Section Supervisor/Financial Manager to join their team. The Section Supervisor will be responsible for providing functional leadership, developing staff, direct program financial management support, and assisting the streamlining of current business operation practices.

As a Financial Manager Section Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will be to provide supervision, guidance, and to be a mentor to Financial Managers responsible for providing cradle-to-grave business and financial support within NSAD.

  • Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, daily financial support to programs, preparation of compliant proposals, internal and external reporting, and staffing.
  • The expectation is to lead the group of financial managers to provide accurate, timely reporting to the program's stakeholders as well as in depth analysis to enhance the decision making process.
  • Mentor and champion growth and development of staff, evaluate and review staff performance, and ensure staff compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Present monthly financialsto executive leadership.
  • Collaborate on the planning and execution of group leadership driven initiatives.

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Have a BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead individuals and teams and mentor staff members.
  • Have at least seven years of relevant experience in the areas of financial and business management.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, including excellent oral and written skills to include experience in presenting financial analysis data to all levels of management.
  • Are a highly motivated self-starter.
  • Have ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
  • Have previous experience in DoD contracting environment.
  • Have a working knowledge of FAR, CAS and federal pricing procedures.
  • Have the capability to interface well with all levels of staff and customers.
  • Hold an active Secret clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship.

  • Have a Master's degree in a related field.
  • Have previous supervisory experience.
  • Have previous UARC orgovernment contracting experience.
