Company: Vaco, a leading staffing and recruiting firm, is partnering with our client in Brea, CA, to fill the role of Accounting Specialist. Our client is a dynamic organization in the manufacturing industry with an immediate need for a skilled professional to join their team.
Position Overview: As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our client's organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Manufacturing experience is a plus.
Location: Brea, CA (Onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements.
- Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting regulations.
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting roles.
- Experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
