Provides prompt investigation, processing and settlement of claims with minor exposures. Requires the explanation of the claims process to customers. Generates payments in accordance with assigned authority limit. Documents all activities and pertinent information in applicable claim system. Responsible for handling claims that require learning of basic claim skills relating to fact of loss investigations, compensability and damages such as material damage and medical bill processing. Entry-level role for associates who are new to claims or who have limited insurance knowledge and / or customer service experience.
