Global Positioning System or GPS provides accurate information regarding the location and time of a person or object in the areas that are covered with four GPS satellite or more. This navigation system is based on the satellite signals and has application for the militaries and by the civilians. The use of this system dates back to the World War II, but with time and advancement in science, the system has been upgraded and is applied extensively for military purposes. Technical Degrees Lead List of Top-Paid Majors for Class of 2013 Grads

If you have graduated from college in 2013 with a technical degree, you may be earning one of the top salaries in the job market.

Technical majors, especially those in engineering, head the list of top-paid majors for the Class of 2013, according to a new report by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).

NACE’s September 2013 Salary Survey found that seven engineering majors are among the 10 highest-paid at the bachelor’s-degree level. (more…)

Technical majors head the list of highest-paid majors for the college Class of 2013, according to a new report by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).

In particular, NACE’s April 2013 Salary Survey—the first look at starting salaries for the Class of 2013—found that seven engineering majors are among the 10 top-paid for the college Class of 2013. (See Figure 1.)

“Engineering majors are consistently among the highest paid because the demand for them is so great,” says Marilyn Mackes, NACE executive director. (more…)
