How we handle locations when the location is everywhere

It wasn’t all that long ago when it was rare for an employer to hire candidates anywhere in a state/province for a particular role, even more rare for that to be nationwide, and even more rare for that to be global.

But, thanks largely to Covid, employers are now open to hiring for many roles candidates who do not live in a particular metro area let alone state/province let alone country. How have these employers adapted?
