Recently, College Recruiter’s Founder and Cheif Visionary Officer, Steven Rothberg was a guest on The Recruitment Flex podcast with Serge and Shelley.

In addition to the story of how College Recruiter got its start, Serge, Shelley, and Steven discuss a variety of recruiting topics. Notably, Steven gave his perspective on why a college degree is not the only thing that should qualify someone for a sales position, as well as why employers are struggling to find and retain quality employees, regardless of the candidate’s experience.

The three also touch on why GPA is now a poor and inefficient way to measure whether someone is the right fit for a position, mainly because GPA has virtually no correlation to work ethic. Steven also explains how judging recent grads on a GPA basis might actually be harming your company’s DEI strategy in the long run.

At the end of the podcast, Steven also details the difference between programmatic and performance-based job advertising and lends his insight into how the industry will continue to shift over the coming years.
