During the presentation, Faith shared valuable information and fielded questions from students on a variety of topics, such as beating an applicant tracking system, or how to use your personal network in a job search.

The full list of topics discussed are:

As the leader of a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), Faith offered some advice tailored to female job seekers: Don’t be afraid to apply for a job that you aren’t 100% qualified for! Faith also spoke about how students and recent grads can utilize their soft skills, such as teamwork and communication, to make themselves an attractive candidate during the interview process. Find what sets you apart and even use that to your advantage during salary negotiations.

Check out the video to see what else Faith recommends for college student and recent grad job seekers, including why applying to massive amounts of jobs during a search isn’t always in your best interest.
