Advice for Employers and Recruiters
3 tips from PrizeRebel’s CMO on creating a healthy remote environment for young job seekers

College Recruiter recently asked employers for their tips on creating an attractive remote work environment. Here are three tips from Jerry Han, the CMO of PrizeRebel, a company that works 100% remotely.
- ‘Me days’ We know that working remotely can take its toll on employees and that’s why we established a way to ensure that employees take care of their mental health. Our company has a ‘Me day’ policy where employees are allowed to take a day off to recharge and work on their mental health whenever necessary. This allows them to return to work recharged, refreshed and a lot more productive. Knowing that we care about their mental health and state of mind and put that ahead of work is important.
- Co-working space subscription Because we know it’s important to communicate in a healthy environment and be surrounded by people every once in a while. We also offer discounts and offers to co-working spaces that allow them to get over the remoteness of the job and interact with other digital nomads wherever they are.
- Work-based task But maybe the biggest and most attractive advantage is that we do not have any fixed working hours. Because we work from different time zones, working 9-5 is quite pointless. That’s why we’ve switched to a task based job where each employee has a set of tasks to finish during that day. IT doesn’t matter whether they finish it in one hour or five hours, but as long as they meet their deadlines, we’re quite flexible. This allows employees to work more productively, get their tasks over with and enjoy the rest of the day to themselves.
