Advice for Employers and Recruiters
How campus recruiters get budgetary approvals from their managers for new tools
I recently sat down with Rishav Khanal of campus ambassador consulting company, InPerson, to talk about how we’ve seen college and university recruiting leaders get the budgetary approvals they need from their managers to buy new products and services.
Many of those requesting the approvals have never or have only rarely needed to seek these approvals, so they often make the mistake of just describing what it is they want to buy and what it will cost. That approach often leads to failure as the manager who owns the budget typically wants or even needs more information, such as what problem does the new tool address, what is the likely return on investment, and what risks exist if they don’t move forward?
