4 questions asked in every interview along with their answers!

While interviewing for a job, you have to be composed and calm and give the best answers even when you are sweating! The interviewer, most probably a panel of interviewers, will be judging your every word and your every move to analyze your abilities and skills. So, you should go fully prepared to provide effective answers in the first go! Here, we have compiled a list of 4 questions, which every interviewer will ask, despite the nature of the job. Read ahead and get yourself acquainted with the answers beforehand!

1. Describe your greatest strength

This is the question where you can list all your strong points. Don’t be modest and enlist every point you think is critical, but remember do not go on and on and this will make a bad impression on the interviewer too. The most effective way to answer this question is to provide examples, for example, when you are telling the interviewer about your punctuality tell them about how you meet strict deadlines while working on a project, while highlighting your leadership skills tell them about your experience while working in a group and how as a leader you were able to achieve your goals.

It is also good that you correlate your strengths with the requirements listed for the job, this will give the interviewer a clear picture of your ability for the job.

2. Describe your greatest weakness/ flaw

Whenever you describe your weakness, make sure you also tell the interviewer how you deal with it too. Also, give a positive ring to your weakness, for example, when you say I am stubborn, don’t simply leave it at this. Tell them I am stubborn and finish whatever I start. This will turn your weakness into a strength.

3. Describe how well do you handle stressful situations?

This is a typical question, but the answer is quite simple. Tell the interviewer how you enjoy working in a challenging environment and you turn every pressure into a challenge. Also quote some examples where you have worked under high stress and still delivered superior performance.

4. Why should the panel recommend you and hire you?

This is where you have to sell yourself! The most effective way to answer this question is to give concrete evidence and examples of your abilities and capabilities. For example, if the job is for a sales manager, tell them how you have managed a team of sales reps with your leadership and motivational skills. Tell them about your awards you got while working on that post.

To prepare for this question, read the job description prior to going for the interview and enlist your abilities that match the requirements on the job description as this will help the interviewer to compare your skills with the required skills.

Remember, however nervous you are, remain calm. Do not boast about yourself a lot and do not let the interviewer feel that you know nothing! The best possible way to handle a job interview is to take a minute, think about what you have to say and then while answering do not hesitate. Be confident!
