Choosing (and Preparing for) the Right IT Career

As you are finishing up, or beginning, your college education in Information Technology, it is a time of decisions. You need to decide what career path you want to follow, and what else you need to do to prepare for that career path. Some IT jobs are more lucrative than others, and some will lead to faster success than others. The IT career paths that will be more likely to fast track your career all have their own requirements as far as education and training go, so you need to do your research to get ready to enter “the real world.”

Kalliance.com has taken the time to provide information on 12 IT jobs that will fast track your career. These jobs often require training or experience in addition to your degree. Some will require a certification (or two). If you really want to be prepared for your new career, you might even need to go on for a Master’s degree. Be sure to pay close attention to the requirements of the position, and prepare yourself for that dream job. If you need a certification and still have time in your degree plan, check with your college’s course offerings to see if any of those courses will prepare you for certification exams.
