Bill Boorman, Founder at GlobalTru

Bill Boorman never wears a suit and always wear a hat. He was the first person in the UK to register a business with @ in the name when he launched @BillBoorman in 2009. Bill has always worked in and around recruiting for the last 30 years or so. He thinks others would describe him as challenging the norm in most of what he does. He takes a different approach to recruiting and networking. Bill has a great posse of connections who he can call on, and who can call on him. He used to have a real job as a Training and HR Director of a national recruitment business and worked there for 12.5 years, before launching a traditional training business. When the recession came, he had no work and discovered social media; the rest is history.

Each of the three #truCollegeRecruiter events are aimed at corporate recruiters and other talent acquisition leaders who are involved in the hiring of college and university students and recent graduates as well as complementary technology developers and vendors. The events will allow attendees in the college relations space to meet and network in an informal environment with today’s most innovative thought leaders. You’ll enjoy a fast-paced, engaging, and challenging learning experience, all while having a good time.

Topics to be covered will include:

  •     Attracting the best and brightest;
  •     Big data;
  •     Building your internship program;
  •     Career services;
  •     Diversity;
  •     Gamification;
  •     Hiring data and other metrics;
  •     Interviewing;
  •     Management trainee programs;
  •     Military versus college recruiting;
  •     Myths about Gen Y;
  •     Mobile;
  •     Social media.
  •     Sourcing secrets; and
  •     Targeting schools.

Our venues in Times Square, Atlanta, and Dallas only seat 150 people each and a couple of dozen of those are already spoken for by presenters and track leaders so tickets are quite limited.

A very limited number of $100 and $125, discounted, early bird tickets are available at http://www.truCollegeRecruiter.com for our events on:

  •     Monday, December 9th at the EY (formerly Ernst & Young) headquarters in New York’s Times Square;
  •     Wednesday, December 11th at the Matrix Resources headquarters in Atlanta; and
  •     Friday, December 13th in Dallas.

I hope to see you in December!
