Keynote on Mobile Marketing at 2009 MPACE Annual Conference

2009 MPACE Annual Conference LogoOn December 9, 2009 at the beautiful Hyatt Regency in the even more beautiful Monterey, California I had the pleasure of delivering the keynote presentation at the Mountain Pacific Association of Colleges and Employers annual conference.

My topic was How to Use Mobile Marketing to Hire Students & Recent Graduates. During the presentation I discussed:

  • A definition;
  • Examples;
  • Who receives mobile ads;
  • Why employers should use mobile marketing;
  • How organizations are using mobile marketing;
  • What most career sites look like when viewed through a mobile device;
  • Cell phone text messaging (SMS) and keyword advertising;
  • Barack Obama’s mobile marketing strategy for his 2008 presidential campaign;
  • Examples of good mobile web sites;
  • How United Parcel Service has successfully used mobile recruitment marketing to help it hire drivers and package handlers during the busy holiday season;
  • Additional success stories; and
  • Some best practices.

Below is the video that the good folks at MPACE recorded and provided to me after the conference.
