Glassdoor Reveals Top 50 Best Places To Work 2012
You may already feel the pressure of finding a full-time job after graduating, but how do you know which companies to apply to? And, how do you know which companies really are the best to work for?
Glassdoor, a jobs and career community, has issued the 50 Best Places to Work for 2012, which is based entirely on employee feedback. The top five companies on this annual list, all recipients of Glassdoor’s Employees’ Choice Award, include Facebook, Bain & Company, McKinsey & Company, MITRE, and Google. It’s worth noting that companies like Bain & Company and McKinsey & Company have offices in several states and are known for recruiting talented college students.
The list of Best Places to Work takes into account company reviews that employees have shared voluntarily and anonymously on Glassdoor throughout the past year. The company review asks employees to rate their satisfaction with the company overall, as well as rate various workplace factors, such as compensation & benefits, work-life balance, and career advancement opportunities. In addition, employees are asked to provide insights into the pros and cons of working at their company, along with how they rate their CEO and how well they feel that person is leading the company. More than 250,000 employees sounded off on Glassdoor leading to more than 65,000 companies to be considered for this annual list.
Here’s what some employees are saying about what it’s like to work at these top companies:
“More variety in staffing than at peers, always being pushed to the next level, strong friendships and mentorships across all levels of the organization, management works very hard to address issues.” – Bain & Company Senior Associate Consultant (Chicago, IL)
