Half day college recruiting conference at GWU

This past April, The George Washington University, RECSOLU, and CollegeRecruiter.com worked together to pilot a half day college recruiting conference (FedCollege) for federal government employees involved in the recruitment of college students and recent graduates. We hoped that 50 attendees would join us but we were delighted when 72 showed up and created an oversold event!

Given the huge success of the event, we’ve decided to create and host one college recruiting conference for talent acquisition professionals involved in college recruiting on the corporate side and a second for those on the government side. Save your date:

• Government – Thursday, December 8th from 9am to 2:30pm

• Corporate – Wednesday, December 7th from 9am to 2:30pm

We’ll notify you as soon as tickets are available and both are sure to sell out early!

Here is what makes FedCollege so unique:

• It’s affordable.  Presenters are not compensated and everything is done at cost, so no one has to miss out due to budget issues. If we generate a profit like we did last year, it gets donated to the GWU career center.

• The topics are extremely relevant to you in your college recruiting role.

• The presenters are your peers. That’s right – people just like you solving their day-to-day problems and willing to share what they’ve learned – with you. And because they’re your peers, you know there won’t be ANY selling from the podium.

• The format is super fast paced – 18 minute presentations and 12 minute breaks to grab a drink, food, and network.  The short, short, short format really keeps the conference moving along and maximizes content.

Call to Action:  If you have a topic you think others could benefit from, I’d love to know. Remember it’s just 18 minutes!  In the end, we need presenters as FedCollege can’t happen without professionals being willing to share their challenges, strategies, and outcomes.  We can’t offer fancy prizes or big checks, but you will get in for free, be recognized as a thought leader, and make a ton of new and really great connections.
