HOPE Wanted: 20 Thoughts For 2010 Job Seekers
A while back, I wrote a blog post about words that annoy people and there are, by the comment count, a plethora of them! 🙂 Today, though, my thoughts turn to a word that I frequently heard in 2009, and continue to hear as 2010 gets going. The word is HOPE! H – O – P – E! I don’t know what HOPE means to you…listed below are a few thoughts I have regarding my HOPE for you this year.
~ I hope you will find what you are looking for…
~ I hope you will discover what matters most to you…
~ I hope you will look on the bright side of things, even in your darkest moments…
~ I hope you will appreciate all that you have more than what you don’t…
~ I hope you will stay in touch with your friends and family and contacts and let them know how you are doing, through the thick and thin of your starting over…
~ I hope you will be able to find a smile for the person who’s smiling at you…
~ I hope you will do well in your interviews and that if you don’t do your best, that you will identify areas for improvement for next time…
~ I hope you will learn something new this year…
~ I hope you will keep an open mind and an open heart regarding possibilities and potential…
~ I hope you will let go of any anger and find a healthy substitute for it…
~ I hope you will speak about yourself with confidence, respect and conviction…
~ I hope you will understand that the road, no matter how rocky, is still a road worth traveling and that there will be many detours, roadblocks and closings along the way…
~ I hope that the job you say “yes” to will bring you more joy than misery…
~ I hope you will embrace rejection and failure as another chance to succeed in the near and distant future…
~ I hope you won’t give up looking for a job, no matter what…
~ I hope you will take time to say “thank you” to the people who help you along the way…
~ I hope you will think twice before you utter a negative or hurtful word about someone or something…
~ I hope you will focus more on the future than you will dwell on the past…
~ I hope you may find at least one thing to be really, really happy about…
~ I hope that this year will be good for you, and to you…
These things, I hope for you. What do you HOPE for in 2010?
