Los Angeles, California is the home of Loyola Marymount University. The university is about two miles from the Pacific Ocean, with convenient access to downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica, and many other great southern California locations and attractions; it’s also about ten minutes from the beach. Students will find 20 residences available; many of them have been built within the last ten years, and provide housing for over 3,000 students. Residents can choose from traditional residence halls, suites, and on-campus apartments, and some rooms even have ocean views. Students can participate in their choices of 132 clubs and organizations, such as theater and the debate team. In 2007, LMU was named “Hottest for Hispanics” by Newsweek and was ranked among the top best universities with master’s programs in the West by U.S. News and World Report.
