Personal Brand Cookies For Twenty Lucky Job Seekers

January 28, 2011

Dan Schawbel.jpg One of my good friends and business associates has been testing out a new way to stand out from the crowd. While holding a “Social Branding” event in the Boston area some time ago, Stephen Pazyra, the CEO of 1-800-Bakery.com, showed up with about a hundred cookies with my face and blog address on each. All the attendees were really impressed with this over-the-top promotional food item because they hadn’t seen anything like it before. Think about it, instead of a business card, why not give a cookie with your brand on it?

Stephen creates many edible photo gifts, such as photo cookies, cakes and chocolates. Instead of a “thank you note” after a job interview, why not send a self-branded cookie. As Steve says, “you will instantly put a face on your resume.” You can be sure the editable cookie won’t end up in the trash, just like the hundreds (maybe even thousands) of other resumes in the “do not hire” pile.
Do you want to see your face on one of these cookies for free?
The first twenty job seekers that send their picture to Stephen (Stephen@1-800-Bakery.com), and are willing to let him use them as an example on his website, will receive free personalized photo cookies. He will also want to hear if you get a job after giving out the cookie as part of your “Thank You” message after an interview. Get them while they’re hot!
