Finding Unadvertised Internships

A successful internship search often requires that you follow more than one strategy. Students who apply online for internships are only tapping into a very small fraction of all of the opportunities that are available. Uncovering unadvertised internships often provides students with a wealth of opportunities that they had no idea even existed.
Networking with family, friends, and alumni from your college, possessing self-confidence, developing expertise in a specific area, conducting informational interviews, and sending post-interview thank you notes to employers, are all strategies that work to make an internship search more successful.
