Are you ready? Okay, listen up because here is one secret you won’t want to miss. No, it’s not about winning the lottery or buying a car at half price or cleaning up at poker. It’s much better than any of those. It’s a secret ingredient you can apply to all your job search cover letters and it works so well, you’ll want to pull it out like a rabbit from a hat whenever you need a touch of magic!
This little ‘bunny’ has been around for decades but few people take advantage of it. They are too busy trying to impress employers with what they believe is the tried and true cover letter. But I say, ‘It’s time for a change, a change that works.’
And what is this magical secret?

Heads up! Here it is. The mighty P.S. (postscript).
Add a P.S. to the bottom of your job-search cover letter and it will perform.
“That’s it?” you may ask. “I thought I should add a P.S. only when I forgot to include something in the letter itself.”
That’s one way to use it, but it’s not the only way. A P.S. on a cover letter is so powerful that some people skip over the letter and read the P.S. first! Once they read it, they’ll pop back to the front of the letter to find out what this is all about.
You’ve probably noticed that advertisers and marketers use the P.S. to restate the action they want a reader to take.

Example:
P.S. CALL TODAY FOR YOUR FREE ANALYSIS.
P.S. ORDER BEFORE SUPPLIES ARE GONE AND PRICES SOAR.
As a job seeker you can use the P.S. in a similar way.
THREE examples of how the P.S. can make your cover letter the best yet!
P.S. I will follow up with a phone call on March 3. I welcome the opportunity to meet and speak with you in person about (insert job title here). Please call me at 555-555-5555. Thank you in advance.
P.S. I look forward to meeting you to discuss how I can support your company as a (insert job title here). Again, you can reach me directly at 555-555-5555 to schedule an interview at your earliest convenience. Thank you!
P.S. I would love the opportunity to fill the position of (insert job title here). Can we meet for an interview at your earliest convenience to discuss this in person? Please call me at 555-555-5555. Thank you again.
You can also use the P.S. to promote your qualities and your strengths as a candidate for the job opening and to restate your contact information once again.
Tips for using the P.S. (postscript): Position the P.S. at the bottom of your cover letter flush left. Type it in bold text or italics. Do not use both.
P.S. Keep in mind that people cannot resist reading a postscript.
P.P.S. Remember this is a TOP SECRET. So please don’t spill the beans! 
