Some say narrow… I say focus

When I do a job search I look at all the jobs available. The reason is I’m open for any new opportunity. I’m not sure what my final career will be, but I plan on doing a lot of things. This becomes a very daunting task when you are doing an intense job search every day. Yeah, I like to look at every job, but this becomes so tiring and sometimes you need to narrow your search. But narrowing your options doesn’t necessarily mean that you don’t find as much opportunity. It’s important to find a job that is suited to your talents and goals. In fact, narrowing sometimes gives way to even more opportunities that you didn’t see before because you were too general. When you open your mind to a specific focus you see more opportunities. If you are just looking for any job, you might not find specialized job searching sites. There are specialized searching sites for teaching, nursing, recent college grads and students, and more that can show you much more that a general job search site can. Some times a little focus can open a whole new world of opportunities.
