The candidate will serve as a key contact point between the customer, marketing, control and RF design teams and shall be able to provide wide ranging solutions from the transistor level all the way to the application level.

A strong background in high volume IC product design is required with a desire to leverage that knowledge to generate system level solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical interface between the RF and analog/control design teams, across several sites.
  • Analyze product requirements, propose integration solutions, including block diagrams and feasibility studies, and discuss with customers the value of the proposed extra functionalities
  • Technical interface to foundries, design and product teams on all analog/mixed signal and silicon design matters. As an analog expert, participate in companywide exchanges on analog and digital topics, drive and support technology and IP roadmaps
  • Perform competitive analysis and industry benchmarking, stay abreast of new developments in the industry, summarize and share information
  • Responsible with devising innovative solutions. Apply out of the box thinking, challenge the status quo, demonstrate alternatives
  • Design new analog or RF IP, if needed

  • Ability to both work independently and reach out across multiple groups is required
  • Thorough understanding of analog CMOS fundamentals, including transistor operation, fabrication and reliability.
  • Must be an expert with Cadence design tools. Knowledge of ADS design tools is a plus
  • Thorough hands-on experience with layout and good understanding of the effect of parasitics and coupling on circuit or package performance
  • Broad experience necessary: Previous exposure to several of the following functionalities is required: digital control (serial interface, decoders), power management (references, LDO, DC/DC converters), sensor (temperature, RF)  and monitoring functions, signal acquisitions and generation (ADC/DAC), signal conditioning (amplification, active or passive filters), RF amplification (PA, LNA), attenuation (step attenuators) or switching (RF switches), calibration and trimming (fuses or other non-volatile memories)
  • Experience with SOI is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with GaAs, SiGe, GaN or SAW / BAW / IPD filter technologies is a plus
  • MS or higher degree is preferred
