Job Description:

SAIC Integrated Intelligence Training Program (IITP) Training Simulation Network Engineer Responsible for assisting the SAIC Integrated Intelligence Training Program (IITP) Program Manager in the management and sustainment of tactical exercise telecommunications networks and simulation training support at Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) Twentynine Palms, CA. The candidate will assist the Tactical Training and Exercise Control Group (TTECG) Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) / Electronic Warfare (EW) Officer with the operation and training of multi- mode telecommunications networks and the development and implementation of scripting and scenarios to support Marine Corps Signals Intelligence and Electronic Warfare proficiency development.

The IITP Exercise Simulation Network Engineer will support efforts to present simulated electronic warfare environments to enhance multiple operational capabilities relating to SIGINT and EW. The candidate will be a subject matter expert (SME) in tactical SIGINT processes and EW skill sets. The candidate will assist in the operations and maintenance of the TTECG MAGTF Counter-IED Insurgent Communications Environment (MC-ICE) network comprising multiple telecommunications modalities.

Job Duties will include:
- Direct support to the TTECG SIGINT officer for exercise implementation and network operations.
- Collaborate and assist tactical units with exploitation of exercise simulated environments.
- Conduct internal after-action reviews to support collective training events.
- Maintain and operate the MC-ICE network.
- Support training with tactical SIGINT/EW and other intelligence processes.
- Provide extensive (day and night) field exercise support within MCAGCC Twentynine Palms training ranges.
- Provide comprehensive network inventory accountability and maintenance support.


Bachelor's degree in a related field and technical tasks and 8-10 years in telecommunications and tactical SIGINT/EW.

Required Qualifications:
- All applicants for this position must possess a current TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
- All applicants for this position must have the following certification(s): CompTIA Security+ or equivalent as well as the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Routing and Switching. A 6 month wavier can be requested for the CCNA Routing and Switching certificate only.
- Candidate must have a strong technical background, communication skills, analytical skills, problem solving, and systems troubleshooting skills with a good understanding of exercise methodologies and intelligence processing.
- Experience with Windows & Linux operating systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Visio and Project.
- Working knowledge of USMC operational and tactical intelligence infrastructure.
- Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, presentation, documentation and organized project management approach.
- Strong working knowledge and experience with multiple telecommunications technologies including push-to-talk, GSM, CDMA, and UMTS.
- Necessary knowledge and experience includes SIGINT tactical operations, exercise implementation in multiple service structure and processes including higher commands such as service-specific material development commands, research, development, testing and evaluation (RDTE) organizations and concepts.
- Experience with installation, configuration and troubleshooting of various network devices and services (e.g. switches, routers, firewalls, VPN, etc.)
- Solid understanding of OSI model and networking protocols (e.g. OSPF, BGP,
- IPSEC, QoS, etc.)
- Experience performing network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches
- Experience utilizing network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools Location and Travel:
- This position serves as the SAIC Exercise Simulation Network Engineer for TTECG. Work location is MCAGCC Twentynine Palms, CA including expansive, adjacent training ranges.

Support will encompass exercise hours outside of normal working hours and in austere environments. Limited travel will be required outside of exercise training ranges. Employee can expect nonstandard work hours during exercise support periods.
