Responsible for the loading and transporting of infectious waste from hospital units to the disposal area and operating the microwave unit in a safe and effective manner.


Education/Experience:
-Must have a vocational technical certification in a mechanical field; or must have successfully completed microwave unit training plus have two (2) years of experience in housekeeping, technical/mechanical, or an engineering environment.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Skills or Special Abilities:
-Must be able to operate the microwave unit and other related equipment as trained. Must be able to perform minor repairs, such as changing the oil and filter in the microwave system.
-Must be able to follow precaution policies regarding infectious waste disposal.
-Must be able to operate company vehicle.
