Job Description

In the ever more globally competitive marketplace, world class organizations must apply Supply Chain Optimization processes to ensure optimal value is preserved or generated at each step of the manufacturing and distribution supply chain. As an intern you’ll have the opportunity to develop and apply your knowledge of Supply Chain Optimization tools and techniques in support of the Food Care Division. Projects will be designed such that your involvement can have a direct business impact both tactically and strategically. Projects will include working with a variety of seasoned operational, distribution, and marketing leaders and their analysts. In this highly collaborative team environment you will investigate ways to augment the effectiveness and efficiency of our planning systems towards a direct influence on Sealed Air’s performance. As an intern, you could work in a variety of disciplines including:

● Demand Forecasting (including product lifecycle implications)

● Supply Network Planning (both production planning and external sourcing)

● Global Distribution Network Optimization

● Import / Export Logistics

● Inventory Analysis and Control to maximize cash flow

● Service and Supply Chain Cost Improvement

● Supply Chain risk analysis and mitigation

This is a unique opportunity to gain broader understanding and experience hands on applications of supply chain procedures and analytics. At the conclusion of the internship there is potential for future employment consideration within Sealed Air’s supply chain organization.

Job Description Cont.

Responsibilities will be specific to the project or assignment on which you would be working, but some of the responsibilities you may have during an internship at Sealed Air could include:

● Participation in operations planning team meetings and projects

● Preparation of reports and presentations

● Using company software in database management, problem identification, solution proposals and decision recommendations

● Brainstorming sessions to develop out of the box ideas

● Provide operational support to current and ongoing efforts within Sealed Air’s S&OP, Master Scheduling, and Detailed Scheduling processes

● Deliver a final presentation to senior leadership covering a capstone project, outcome and experience

Qualifications

● The top candidate should be pursuing a Masters degree in a Supply Chain discipline.

● 3.0 GPA or higher

● Strong spreadsheet analysis skills. Has had some experience with relational database management, statistical analytic, optimization models, and ERP software applications.

● Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship

● Readiness to take initiative with and manage projects

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Possess reliable transportation to and from work location

● Ability to work 40 hours per week during the summer months (05/21-08/10)
