Group 99— Integrated Systems and Concepts
The Integrated Systems and Concepts Group (Group 99) specializes in the rapid development and demonstration of innovative optical system solutions to address difficult challenges facing the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, NASA, and other U.S. government entities. The group maintains broad expertise in electro-optical and infrared sensors, charge-coupled devices, focal plane arrays, ground/air/space electronics, image processing, video exploitation, and low size/weight/power optical communications systems. The group leverages this core expertise to architect, prototype, build, and deploy hardware and software systems in support of mission needs. Emphasis is on working closely with end users to develop enabling concepts and then building and fielding integrated systems on responsive timelines. The group seeks self-motivated engineers and scientists with multi-disciplinary skill sets and a passion for conceptualizing, designing, and building systems that address national critical needs.

IT COOP Student   Spring Summer


This position will support group 99 IT needs. This will include installing, updating, maintaining and troubleshooting all necessary software products required to operate PC’s, workstations and servers. Operating systems supported include Microsoft Windows, Macintosh and Linux. Applications include Microsoft Office, Network Associates McAfee virus scan, Adobe Acrobat, Mathworks MATLAB, SVN, GIT and any other applications or software requested by Staff.  CO-OP will provide support for the backup operations of the group 99 servers, troubleshooting network and network printing problems, install software, take and apply OS images, rebuild and setup computing equipment. The candidate must have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimum supervision.


Education: Accredited college coop program with at least one-year with a Computer Science or Information Technology background. Microsoft certification a plus.


Experience:  At least one year of directly related software experience on PC’s, workstations.  Must be knowledgeable in the use of various operating systems (Windows, Linux and Apple) as well as application software products (Microsoft Office, McAfee Anti-virus).  Should have basic understanding of networking.
