Direct Support Professional - Float

Job Summary: As a Direct Support Professional - Float, you will have the responsibility of meeting the individual needs of clients, and will be assisting with daily living skills such as: * Training in at multiple homes (2+) and working pre-scheduled shifts compatible with your schedule. * Supporting clients in reaching their goals and achieving greater independence. * Helping with high-to-low level self-cares. * Preparing meals or assisting clients with meal preparation. * Driving clients to medical appointments and bringing them on activities such as going out to eat, to the movies and more. * Administering medication and/ or working with medical equipment. * Helping clients maintain their household by assisting with laundry, budgeting, cleaning and shopping. * Documenting daily activities and health logs. * Working alongside the client's guardians, families, case manager and other team members. Hours Available: Flexible Full-Time, hours vary according to what you can work. Must be available 2 of 4 weekends each month. Must be willing to work at all locations in the Metro Area. Wage structure: Monday - Thursday shifts: $14.00/hour Friday - Sunday shifts: $16.00/hour Sleepover shifts: $9.65/hour Qualifications: * Ability to lift and carry up to 75lbs * Willingness to attend to personal cares, household cleaning, meal preparation and health needs. * Positive attitude and compassion desired * Department of Human Services Background Clearance * Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and auto insurance required * Must be 18 years or older * Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbally Thomas Allen promotes a person-centered approach in the delivery of respectful and responsive services.
