InternalPosting Period: 11/13/2017 – 11/20/2017 Under general supervision, provides clinically competentprofessional nursing care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for patient assessment, development,implementation and coordination of the patients' plan of care including themedical treatment plan and the evaluation of patient treatment. The RegisteredNurse will function within the full scope of the RN licensure, according to theCalifornia Nursing Practice Act. The Registered Nurse has primary accountability for monitoring patientoutcomes. As the team coordinator of the patient care team (including but notlimited to: physicians, registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses,technicians, and support and clerical staff), the Registered Nursecollaborates, directs, delegates, assigns, guides and serves as a resource tothe department and the patient care team for patient care delivery. The Registered Nurse promotes a cooperative working relationship with care teammembers, physicians, other disciplines and the public by facilitating andenhancing communication, displaying honesty and respect, displaying sensitivityto cultural and age differences, and expressing and accepting feedback in aprofessional manner. The Registered Nurse supports the mission, philosophy and goals of the GoodSamaritan Hospital. MINIMUMKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: 1. Current California Registered Nurse License. 2. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)certification. 3. Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification as required by specific hiring department criteria. (see attachment) MinimumExperience: 1. A Registered Nurse employed by GSH who has one (1)year of full-time equivalent or more prior experience as a Registered Nurse. 2. Ability to learn and utilize computerized patientcare management system. 3. Ability to understand and follow verbal and writteninstructions. Must read, write and verbally communicate in the Englishlanguage. 4. Must maintain confidentiality.
