Demonstrates working knowledge and experience in laboratory testing, test automation, and data acquisition in support of product and systems engineering, advanced innovation, long term technology development and quality initiatives within Product Development Engineering.
  • Uses technical experience and judgment in solving standard problems, analyzes information, achieves objectives and meets deadlines with a moderate level of guidance and direction when executing technical motorcycle or component tests.
  • Compiles test data using analysis, identifying possible solutions using technical experience and judgment with a moderate level of guidance, tracks and reports accurate test results to engineering in a timely manner.
  • Develops new techniques, develops current tests and, improves processes in order to impact the reduction of product development time.
  • Independently and successfully applies instrumentation tools and techniques during project execution.
  • Provides high quality test data through detailed understanding of transducer designs, calibration, limitations, and their appropriate usage.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistical analysis and Root Cause Analysis (e.g. Cause Map, Fishbone, etc.) and applies in daily work.

Education Required
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical degree.

Experience Required
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of related experience. In addition, they will have demonstrated the following:
  • Experience in programming software (Visual Basic, Labview, C based scripting) to control test equipment and automate test systems.
  • Working knowledge of data acquisition systems and techniques.
  • Proficient in the use of data analysis tools for data mining and reporting processes.
  • Development of engineering test methods and requirements
