Equans is looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our team at Sullom Voe Terminal Power Station in Shetland on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
The role is responsible for providing a maintenance planning service to the maintenance team (mechanical, electrical and control and instrumentation), ensuring that plans are produced and schedules agreed for all routine, planned maintenance and inspection activities. There is also a need to monitor progress against agreed plans and schedules and report discrepancies to the Maintenance Manager and agree corrective actions with the discipline engineers to minimise the impact on the plan.
What will you deliver?
Preparation, review and issue of maintenance plans with a 2 week and 12 week look ahead. Long term plans and priorities will be set by the Maintenance Manager
Plan, schedule and monitor shutdowns effectively
Agreement with the maintenance engineers on agreed work schedules and resources before formal issue of the plans
Liaise with the Permit Office & Operations Manager to confirm work plans are deliverable and modify plans when required to meet plant availability
Monitoring the implementation of the work plans and discussing any issues with the maintenance engineers and agreeing changes necessary to maintain progress against the plan/schedule
Full control of the Computerised Maintenance Management System to ensure plant maintenance history is accurate and up to date

Who are we looking for?
HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
IOSH: Managing Safely or equivalent HS&E qualification
Basic level Microsoft Project Planner
Able to demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and clear written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the business
Experience of planning, scheduling and monitoring shutdowns
Ability to resolve conflicts and know when to escalate to the Maintenance Manager
Competent in the use of IT, including maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office packages
Knowledge of risk assessments
Capable of reviewing and understanding procedures and maintenance routines
Ability to understand the plant design and layout, how the plant systems interconnect and what impact this has on operational outputs and planning
