Job Tittle: Method and Tools Engineer

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- Assures End-to-End (“E2E”) consistent & fluid data-flow on Digital Mock-up and E-BOM on platform or project contract execution, between stakeholders, along project DFQ V-cycle, according to Métier Rules and Standards, in multi-sites collaborative engineering (according to PDO).
- Operationally support to businesss application


RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Should help solve design team problems on Catia V5 work on different modules
- Is responsible to understand the Enovia VPM-DMAGS methodology to guide the design team, should have worked in PDM/PLM extensively
- Is responsible to clarify with central competency teams if needed regarding working solutions for the Engg/DMU/VPM functionality if needed.
- Needs to understand design principles with TD team to be able to review with Catia V5/VPM design methodologies - customized in Alstom
- Responsible to act as a Key User for design applications, related to rolling stock engineering
- Needs to regularly overview monitoring of applications performances, application access control & data exchange
- Should assist review of CATIA/CAD 3D mockup for train level/car level/Installation level
- Should prepare the Design review of Train mock-up & global clash analysis, swept volume analysis reporting for projects w.r.t DFQ cycle
- Need to understand the cross functional input-output flow for rolling stock Design, Systems engg, Train control engg, RAMS, Industrialization, Sourcing, SPQD, SCM & Production teams

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
 
Educational Requirements:
 
• B.E/ M.E in Mechanical/Production/Automotive with 7 to 10 years of experience.

Knowledge / Experience: 
• 7~10years experience in Mechanical Engg./Production Engg. Projects working background.
• Worked in 3D CAD/CAM/CAE applications as individual contributor
• Worked in supporting and coordinating the business application issues to IS&T
• Need to regularly overview monitoring of applications performances, application access control & data exchange
• Worked on Catia V5/V6 (Part Design, Assembly, Drafting, Electrical-harnessing, Tubing, 3DMaster, GSD, GD&T, BoM-TB & AutoCAD)
• Worked in any VPM/PDM/PLM application (Enovia V5/V6) – PLMV6 working knowledge is added preference.
• Should know EBoM, Bill of Material extraction from product structure, managing quantity & ballooning
• Possess or develop good understanding of materials, standards, norms, used in design engineering
• Industrial background with experience preferably in the railway industry, ideally in an international organization
• Should help solve design team problems on Catia V5 work on different modules
