- Datacenter Architect Spacialist reporting to the IT Platforms Datacenter & Cloud –Sr Manager ITP Product/Platform
- Permanent contract
- Full-time in the Milan HQ with some flexibility to work remotely
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, systems analysis or related studies or experience
- 7+ years experience in IT solution disciplines including technical architecture, Datacenter infrastructure, Enterprise Linux (SuSE and RedHat), High-availability (IBM HACMP), Storage Area Network technologies, Microservices (OpenShift and AKS)
- Experience on to or more IT solutions inlcuding techincal architecture IBM AIX, enterprise storage systems (Hitachi, 3PAR, Netapp), IBM Spectrum Protect (Tivoli Storage Manager -TSM) backup solution or similar enterprise-class backup solution (Tivoli storage) is a plus
- Fluent in English is a must

Position Summary
Are you a talented Architect Specialist ready to join Nestlé’s IT Platforms Datacenter & Cloud team in Milan, Italy? We need you to holistically oversee our enterprise architecture (EA) activities for product groups including corporate computing devices and printing solutions. In this position, you ensure that all IT Platforms Datacenter products are architected to successfully deliver business value. You work closely with established stakeholders and other architects and participate in the selection of new partners in close collaboration with Product Owners.
A Day in the Life of… an Architect Specialist
- Take on the role of a Lean-Agile leader, defining architectural designs to guide and contextualize solution development.
- Manage & develop the architecture for a broader scope of platforms and deliver the architectural design for products, translating business needs into a solution blueprint representing the end-to-end technical solution.
- Lead the implementation and integration of technical architecture across a product group based on enterprise business strategy, business capabilities and business requirements.
- Define guidelines & solution patterns to ensure product-based decisions are with Enterprise Architecture vision.
- Develop integration processes and interface requirements.
- Manage adoption, design, and integration of IT Platforms Datacenter solution architecture with DevOps teams and suppliers to deliver expected business value in an optimal way.
- Supervise design and execute the integration, in collaboration with other Product Streams, to ensure each product or solution has a properly defined architecture specification (design, diagrams, process maps, governance, and compliance).
- Facilitate evaluation and selection of new software products and services, in close collaboration with the business and IT, to accurately capture business requirements and pain points.
- Work with solutions, technologies and services including Microsoft, IBM and other UNIX and Linux technologies, IBM pSeries and iSeries Hardware, HPE Synergy and Hyperconverged Infrastructure.
- Identify the financial and organizational impact of the solution architecture.
- Provide consulting and design assistance to the business and product owners.
What else will make you successful?
- Certified on and/or proven expertise working with multiple, diverse technologies, services and processing environments supporting Datacenter infrastructure and enterprise-class datacenter systems, for both traditional datacenter and hyperscaler models.
- Strong Understanding of the practical application of technology trends, leading industry analysts (Gartner, Forrester), and new evolving business models.
- Proven ability to support Agile project teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, that take account of technical and architectural needs.
- Experience working in and/or managing advisory councils, industry user groups, and key technology partners (vendors, Account Managers, Product Managers, Lab advocates and Executives).
- Excellent understanding of application development methodologies & architectural modelling.
- Ability to translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements.
- Innovator while having an analytical thinking.
- Capable of influencing with integrity.
- Experience working in large, multi-national enterprises in globally diverse virtual teams.
- Excellent English spoken and written communication skills applied with different stakeholders, nationalities, and mediums (face-to-face and remote).
