Responsibilities


Peraton is seeking Network Engineers / Network Monitoring Engineers to join our team in support of the U.S. Army Europe Regional CyberCenter (RCC-E) in Wiesbaden, Germany. In this role you will be responsible for the following:



  • The team member will be responsible for the network management software run by the Regional Cyber Center, Europe.

  • The software suite run by the RCCE includes Spectrum, CAPC, Netflow Analyzer, and Jasper soft reporting.

  • Maintain a current operational understanding of USAREUR network topology.

  • Monitor the network and enhance the network operations with advanced reporting.

  • Upgrade and troubleshoot software issues as they arise with the applications above.

  • Assist users in the operation of the tools above as well as conduct training two times per month to the user base of around 500 users.

  • Perform security checking on the Linux operating systems that support the applications above and work with the Linux administrators to enhance system operations.


Qualifications



  • A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of network engineering or related experience, an associate plus 7 years specialized experience, a major certification with 7 years of experience, or 11 years of specialized experience.

  • Experience with network monitoring or performance monitoring software that might includeSolarwinds, SNMPc, Spectrum, or any other modern network monitoring software.

  • Must possess an active DoD Approved 8570 IAT Level III Certification (i.e. CISSP, CASP, GCIH, etc.)

  • Must possess the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date, a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Juniper Network CertifiedInternet Specialist certification

  • Must posses an active -OR- have the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire date an ITIL Foundations Certification

  • An Active Secret security clearance or higher

  • US Citizenship required
