Responsibilities:


• Support our mail and shipping & receiving operations by working in the Mailroom and make deliveries to various buildings on campus.
• This position involves driving our company van to various locations for pick-ups and deliveries.
• Sort and research incoming USPS mail.
• Receive and sort incoming FedEx, UPS, Amazon and other packages
• Scan incoming accountable mail and packages into our mailroom software system.
• Provide mail delivery / pickup to and from designated areas / mailstops in buildings served based on schedule.
• Deliver first class letters, business reply, flats, boxes, intra and inter-company mail, accountable mail (certified, registers and insured) and express mail.
• Track accountable mail including obtaining recipient signatures either using computer-based tracking or manually.
• Process (sort and meter) to the appropriate carrier outbound domestic and international mail received by end of business day.
• Separate mail to be metered, weighted, and postage applied by budget code (cost center number) and class of mail.
• Process and record all certified, registered and express outbound mail daily.
• Pack outgoing shipments to protect contents during shipping.
• Create outbound shipping labels including for international shipments using couriers such as FedEx, UPS and DHL.
• Create commercial invoices and other documentation as necessary for international shipments.
• Follow up with courier companies regarding any issues with domestic and international shipments.
• Ensure that outbound mail operations are completed in time to meet postal outbound times for working day.
• Manage the inventory and replenishment of postal funds for postage meters.
• Prepare monthly reports of mail services activity.
• Maintain cleanliness of workspace throughout shift.
• Ensure safety and security procedures are followed at all times.
• Conduct vehicle safety inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work van.
• Assist with van maintenance by promptly notifying management of any issues and taking the van in for service and repair as needed.


Qualifications:


• Minimum 1 year courier experience with driving preferred.
• Basic Computer skills.
• Postage Meter, UPS, FedEx, DHL knowledge.
• Demonstrate the ability to be flexible and adapt to change in the work environment.
• Strong work ethic; diplomatic; team player and service-oriented; builds strong working relationships.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
• Attention to detail.
