Liburdi Automation is an industry leader in the development of automated, vision based welding systems for turbine, aerospace, industrial and tube mill applications. The Liburdi line of LAWS™ automated welding systems is the industry standard for welding compressor and turbine blades and vanes, while the Dabber® automated welding systems are widely used for seal and rotor applications.
We are currently seeking an entry level Welding Technologist in our Weld Lab Department.
Typical Duties Include (but are not limited to):
- Developing new welding techniques and procedures.
- Utilizing high precision robots with welding processes such as GTAW, PAW, Variable Polarity and LASER wire/power.
- Developing weld programs in order to provide our customers with turn-key welding solutions.
- Working with customers to demonstrate our technology.
- Traveling to various client sites in North America and Internationally (50%).

Key Education/Experience Requirements:
- College level education required
- Technician or Technologist Welding Diploma required
- 1-2 years’ previous experience in the welding industry preferred (co-op experience accepted)
- Knowledge in metallurgy an asset
- Knowledge in FANUC programming an asset
- Knowledge of the following welding processes an asset: PTAW, LASER, GTAW
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
