Job Title: Heavy Duty Truck Mechanic
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy duty trucks, including brake and suspension systems, engines, transmissions, and hydraulics.
Conduct diagnostic tests to identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems.
Use hand and power tools to dismantle and reassemble parts and components.
Follow all safety guidelines and regulations when working on vehicles.
Keep accurate records of work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and maintenance services.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification in heavy duty truck repair or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
Experience with diagnostic software and tools.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time.

Schedule: Monday to Friday - 08:00 am to 06:00 pm and Saturday - 08:00 am to 04:00 pm.
Weekly day range: Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate: Mississauga, ON
Experience: Transportation: 2 years (PREFERRED)
