What you will be up to:


  • To continually strive to exceed our Guests' expectations and to create memories for guests and staff as the best mountain experience again and again.
  • To be enthusiastic and punctual for all tours/lesson assignments.
  • To be well versed in all safety procedures and policies and to follow them on a daily basis.
  • To act with courtesy towards all Whistler Blackcomb staff, volunteers and guests.
  • To be responsible for maintaining your own personal toolkits, first aid packs and any Whistler/Blackcomb owned bikes.
  • To be fully aware of all policies and procedures –including safety, accident protocol, personal appearance, and to promote respect for our mountain environment.
  • To hand out business cards to all guests at the end of every tour/lesson.
  • To be familiar with the Whistler Blackcomb Employee Handbook and the Whistler/Blackcomb Mountain Bike Programs Manual.
  • We are a company that works together and throughout the season you may be required to assist other departments as needed




  • Demonstrate our core values: Safety First, Striving to be the Best, and showing that We Care
  • Minimum Level 1 Professional Mountain Bike Instructors (PMBI) course, or equivalent.
  • Current OFA Level 1 (B.C. Certified) is mandatory before you start
  • Previous mountain bike instructing or coaching experience preferred
  • Instructing or coaching of other sports an asset
  • Strong mountain bike skills
  • Good physical condition
  • Local trail knowledge
  • Similar guest service or sales experience an asset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Positive reference from previous employers
  • Second language an asset
  • Required to complete a satisfactory criminal record check
