Programmed Training Services in partnership with Yara Pilbara, is now recruiting applicants to undertake a Logistics Traineeship.
This is your opportunity to join a dynamic and growing industry working at Yara Pilbara - home to one of the world's largest ammonia production facilities, and a Technical Ammonium Nitrate (TAN) Plant based on the Burrup Peninsula.
About the role
This traineeship is a two-year program, where you will work towards achieving the nationally recognized Certificate III in Supply Chain Operations within the Technical Ammonium Nitrate team. The Logistics and Materials Handling team are responsible for overseeing the materials handling and logistics operations of Ammonium Nitrate and Ammonium Nitrate Solution at Yara Pilbara Nitrates. The trainee shall work with external logistics providers and Orica Mining Services Pilbara to ensure trucks are received and dispatched in a safe and timely manner
Training will be provided both on-the-job and at North Regional Tafe, Karratha Campus with significant career progression opportunities within the Yara network.
To be successful, you will have:
Completion of Secondary Schooling to a Year 12 level (or equivalent), or completion of relevant pre-vocational qualifications.
A current C class driver's license.
The ability to adapt to working 12 hour shifts (including nightshifts), under physical and challenging conditions.
A willingness to work as part of a team.
Technical and problem-solving skills.
Strong computer skills.
The ability to pass a pre-employment medical and regular drug & alcohol screening tests.
The ability to obtain a Dangerous Goods Security Card & Maritime Security Identification Card
