Reporting to the Workshop Superintendent, you will improve the reliability and productivity of existing equipment by planning and scheduling a cost effective maintenance service that meets the current and future needs of the business. You will actively support processes for improvements, focusing on identification of risk, engagement of employees and a goal of zero injuries.
You will;
Plan and schedule all roll machining and overhaul tasks
Review in consultation with the planner coordinator all incoming purchase orders and RFQ’s
Order and source materials using SAP system
Maintain and execute maintenance programs.
To be considered for this role, ideally, you will have a Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification with demonstrated technical skills in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
You will have;
Ability to plan and set schedules
Previous experience with CNC Machining 
Ability to work unsupervised, whilst liaising directly with key stakeholders
Ability to identify improvement opportunities and support ideas with data
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Efficient planning of maintenance work and breakdowns
Encouraging a strong safety culture
Computer savvy – Microsoft Word, Excel as well as SAP.

Reliability, Engineering and Maintenance Services (REMS).  The REMS department is responsible for providing reliability and maintenance support to Infrabuild’s internal manufacturing businesses consisting of Steel making, rolling mills, wire mills and tube manufacturing. Comprising of a state of the art machine shop, fabrication and fitting, REMS is capable of manufacturing all parts required by the manufacturing businesses. The REMS team needs to be highly dynamic, responding to the manufacturing mills requirements, solving technical problems and delivering practical solutions.
