Rare mid-senior level planner opportunity based in Wollongong.Opportunity to progress to executive levels within an established organisation. Positive working environment with a close knit team.
The Company
Our client is an Australian-owned Tier-1 distribution company looking for a Transport Operations Planner to be part of business planning and support for their brand new distribution centre at Port Kembla near Wollongong.
The RoleImplementing daily transport planning and scheduling of bulk liquid movements.Identify problems and develop solutions in a timely manner.Coordinates the distribution of customer products in a timely, effective and efficient manner.Working knowledge of vehicle loading requirements and constraints.Liaising with internal staff including drivers and Admin personnel.Ensures the fleet adheres to dangerous goods, weight and fatigue legislation.Liaising with internal staff including drivers and Admin personnel.Adhering to national rules and regulations, ensuring compliance.Proactively manage communication with customers through feedback discussion from Customer Review meetingsReceiving and appropriately dealing with after hours calls during rostered days.Operating 4 days on/off (Rotating).
About YouMinimum 3 years experience in Planning and Scheduling in the Transport sector.Experience in allocating for Dangerous and Flammable Goods.Strong understanding of procedures and commercial acumen.Previous experience with TMS Systems or SAP is advantageous.Understanding of WHS legislation and transport industry working knowledge.Thorough understanding of OHS & compliance legislation & regulations.Commitment to continuous improvement.Ability to deliver high quality customer service.Excellent stakeholder management skillsSharp, analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional organisational and time-management skills
Salary and Work Rights$90K - $110K + Super depending on experienceAustralian Citizens and Permanent Residents only
