Western State Hospital (WSH) - Civil Center of Excellence is seeking Registered Nurses to join our team in leadership opportunities as Registered Nurses 4.  

   

This unique opportunity will allow you to plan and direct all nursing functions in an assigned area to assure consistent patient care delivery in a 24 hour facility. Pierce County employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs.?

 Some of what you'll do:

 

* Manage, lead, and direct all aspects of nursing care, 24 hours 7 days a week
* Demonstrate effective communication
* Evaluate patient care delivery system
* Formulate complex reports
* Lead nursing amployees
* Plan, organize and direct deployment of nursing employees
* Direct, motivate, recruit and interview 
* Investigate patient and policy violations as assigned

 

 We are looking for an RN who has:

 

* Graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing and a valid Washington State Registered Nurse license or the ability to obtain one by the start of employment
* Four years of professional nursing experience, including two years in a lead capacity over other nursing personnel
* A Bachelor's degree or higher degree involving a major study in nursing may be substituted for two years of non-supervisory experience
* One year of full-time experience teaching nursing may be substituted for one year of supervisory experience
