As a Therapeutic Activities Aide you will assist in planning, organizing, and conducting recreational and educational activities/outings in an effort to enhance/retain residents highest level of physical, cognitive, and social abilities. You will assist with transporting residents to activities. You will be required to maintain adequate inventory of supplies/equipment for scheduled activities. In addition, you will observe and document resident behavior to provide information on residents progress, strength and needs.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

* Part-Time employment; 40 hours/bi-weekly.
* Work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm; Rotating Schedule, works every other weekend.
* Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

In compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements, if you are selected for this position, you must show, at the time of hire, verification that you have received either a single-dose COVID-19 vaccination, or both doses of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccination, unless you are exempt from receiving a COVID-19 vaccination due to an ADA or religious accommodation. If you fail or refuse to show the required verification at the time of hire, and you have not received an exemption from the CMS vaccination requirements, your employment will be terminated.  


Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

* Six months of work experience providing care to individuals requiring assistance with daily activities; or
* Six months of experience as an Aide Trainee (commonwealth title); or
* An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Necessary Special Requirements: 

* Certain positions require possession of an active motor vehicle license.

Additional Requirements: 

* You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

* A conditional offer of employment may require satisfactory completion of a medical examination and drug screening.
* This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
* Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
