**Description**

Cleans and maintains various floors surfaces. This includes carpet, wood, marble, vinyl, vinyl composition tile, stone, tile, slate etc.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

+ Capable of operating various cleaning machines and power equipment. Knows and adheres to federal and state safety regulations.

+ Adheres to all PPE requirements.

+ May drive fleet vehicles and be responsible for the daily inspections and safe operations.

+ Could also be assigned primary duties of the Custodian II position. Performs related duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Ability to understand and follow communicated instructions, and three years of custodial work experience.

+ May require the ability to lift 50 pounds and to bend, stoop, twist, and walk up to 2 miles per day.

+ May require a valid Georgia driver's license and insurable driving record. Floor care certification. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
