BJC HealthCare is seeking a Medical Office Secretary (Full -Time) for our Breast Care Consultants location in St. Louis, MO.

Position Details:

* Day Shift Hours: Monday-Friday (8am-4:30pm)
* No weekends or holidays
* Surgery Scheduler experience (preferred)
* 2 years of Medical Office Experience
* Epic experience
* Excellent customer service skills & detailed oriented
* Responsibilities: schedule surgeries & procedures, coordinate with plastics, oncology & radiology, MRI orders, complete FMLA paperwork, working basket, help room & check in/out patients as needed, phone patients, and work with breast cancer patients

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The Medical Office Secretary performs front office duties in support of physicians in a medical office setting.


Makes office visit appointments, hospital appointments for test and admissions and obtains appropriate referrals, forms and other pertinent information.Educates patients on procedures for hospital tests and admissions.Dispatches finished medical records to appropriate parties as directed.Maintains records of incoming and completes transcriptions.Takes incoming calls and determines the appropriate care service to administer to patients; manages physician schedules.

High School Diploma or GED


2-5 years
