**Job Summary:**
Responsible for maintaining the trauma registry and required data submissions to both State and National databases.
**Job Responsibilities and Requirements:**
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Completes daily analysis of medical records for trauma patients, determines eligibility for registry reporting and maintains the trauma registry.
+ Maintains, utilizes and communicates current knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and standards, with regard to trauma care.
+ Demonstrates a thorough understanding, accurate interpretation, and knowledge of the standards that regulate trauma registry activities.
+ Completes daily analysis of medical records for trauma patients and determines eligibility for registry reporting.
+ Maintains, utilizes and communicates current knowledge of regulatory agency requirements and standards, with regard to trauma care.
+ Performs queries for basic monthly reports from the trauma registry database.
+ Utilizes various software systems to perform analysis, graphs, and compile data and reports in format that is user friendly.
+ Maintains collaborative relationships providers, agencies and internal departments.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
+ Associates degree in Applied Science or related field
EXPERIENCE
+ Two years' experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
+ Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
+ Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
+ Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
+ Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
+ Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
+ Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
+ Rare climbing.
