Day Shift
Job Summary:
Assists the radiologist in various radiology procedures by prepping patients beforehand through explaining the process to them, checking their vital signs, administering medicine, and providing care for patients undergoing imaging procedures. Provides nursing services, helps to carry out physician orders, responds and reports to attending/radiologist any changes in condition, oversees the distribution of medications, charts medications, distributes/counts narcotics, and responds to emergencies.
Education - Required:
* Associate's Degree Nursing
Education - Preferred:
* Bachelor's Degree Nursing
Experience - Required:
* 3 years Experience in medical/surgical nursing and
* 1 year Critical care
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:
* Ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of the patients needs that are age appropriate.
* Ability to select proper instrumentation/supplies appropriate for age group of patient served.
* Ability to administer moderate sedation, dysrhythmia recognition, and treatment.
* Able to work under stressful situtations.
Licensure - Required:
* Registered Nurse Upon Hire
Certifications - Required:
* Health Services\BCLS - Basic Life Support within 90 Days
* Health Services\ACLS within 90 Days
* PALS � Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 Days
