Systems Administrator (Patch and Vulnerability Management) Duration: Initial 6-month contract Location : Dublin or Cork / Hybrid     Your Role: You will work as part of our clients Enterprise IT Services team that delivers the day-to-day maintenance and support of the IT infrastructure to ensure delivery of the agreed level of IT services to the business.   You will play a key role in the Patch Management team ensuring our environments are patched to the latest levels.   The role will require you to provide patch management on various technically challenging Windows & Linux Systems, ensuring high levels of uptime and communication with the business. You will ensure that we align our Vulnerability Management process to maintain the environments.   Your Team: You will work as part of an effective, innovation focused and committed team. This team is a growing team supporting Windows, Linux, vSphere Patching and working closely with our Information Security Group.     Your Responsibilities: Perform Patch management tasks include: maintaining current knowledge of available patches, deciding what patches are appropriate for particular systems, ensuring that patches are installed properly, and documenting all associated procedures. Maintain an up- to-date Inventory of all systems. This inventory should include Tier, Operations Systems and Supported Application. Communicate clearly with application owners around patch scheduling and downtime. Coordinate patch schedule with other teams such as, infrastructure, security and IT Service Management Thorough testing of patches prior to deployment Develop and implement patch and vulnerability remediation process including package creation, testing and deployment     Requirements:   Essential: 2 Years’ Experience in a patch management or Server Support role. Experience working with Windows Servers (, , ) and Linux (RHEL 7,8,9) Servers.  Experiencing using BigFix / SCCM or another patch deployment Systems. Experience using Jira for task and project tracking Self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to work on own initiative Ability to work with others within and outside the team and a willingness to be flexible to assist in achieving the overall goals of the team. Be a part of the times out of hours rotation for patching. Enthusiastic, committed and proactive approach to problem solving Create reports relating to patching status and effectiveness Developing checklists, guides, best practices, and procedures to support patch management process Professional certifications an advantage     Desired: Experience with Ansible / PowerShell ITIL knowledge IT Diploma College Certification or equivalent.
