This is a full time position located in sunny Palmdale, CA.If you are intrigued by this opportunity keep reading below.Essential Functions:Electrical assembly and wire harness installationChecks, tests, and troubleshoots electrical systems for conformance to specifications and performs repair, removal, and reinstallation of wiring as necessaryCuts wire to length, strips insulation from wire ends, and insulates connections with plastic sleevesAttaches wire or complicated electrical systems to fixtures and accessories such as: transformers, instrument panels, and switchboards with fasteners (bolts, screws, or solder)May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control proceduresAble to obtain half & full face respirator certificationDaily usage of manufacturing shop controls and systemsUse of appropriate PPE when working on the shop floorRecommend and implement continuous improvement activities in production methods, equipment performance and team effectivenessBasic Qualifications:High School diploma or GEDMinimum of 9 months of electrical experience in an aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing and/or maintenance environment OR AFAB students must have a minimum of 3.0 or higher GPA upon completion of Aircraft Fabrication courses OR A& P certificate courses.Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working overheadMust be able to access small confined spaces and work in an enclosed environmentAbility to pass medical/respiratory evaluation in order to obtain and maintain necessary respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirementsThe ability to work 1st “5 AM – 3:30 PM” or 2nd shift “4:12 PM – 2:42 AM and any work scheduleAbility to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret or Top Secret Clearance as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs. US citizen required for clearancePreferred Qualifications:Experience in aerospace manufacturingCompletion of an A& P certificate programSalary Range: $58,240 USD $59,800 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
